St. Joseph, Miesville, MN

This project is currently being completed. The brick on this church were seriously deteriorated. About four thousand brick will be replaced when all is said and done.

The building had serious structural issues. When the brick under the pilaster caps on the bell tower were removed it was discovered that the second layer of brick were deteriorated to damp sand, literally! Structural engineering and consultation with an historic architect brought about a repair solution.

There have been several previous restorations on this building, but none were completely done and left much to be desired aesthetically.  They were not full solutions. Upon completion, St. Joseph’s will have a thorough restoration which should last for years to come.

Pictures to come soon.
